A multinational information technology company came to us with a B2B AR project; looking to promote their latest laptop models. Partnered with a Danish toy company, businesses would receive in the post a package containing building parts to construct a toy replicating the new laptop. Alongside this, would be a leaflet with a QR code. If the user scanned this, they could view an immersive AR experience of the laptop; with the toy version changing into the actual laptop in real-scale (with spec info and more).
I led the AR project in the first half, using ZapWorks again (building on the experience I had on our first project). I began with conceptualising the user journey and creating several WebAR UI designs. After these got approved, I modelled the actual laptop model (the toy version was created by another member of the team). I then built and tested the entire experience in ZapWorks Studio.
However, it was decided that, for this particular project, the final version needed to be rebuilt and created in an SDK due to the limitations publishing via the ZapWorks platform.
When the project launched and the client was happy, I was asked to create a video showcasing the entire AR journey (a clip of this can be seen below).
